It’s been so long since I tried new things when it comes to earning money online, maybe it’s because that I’m so used to what I’m doing and that I know that I am already earning a handful with the online tasks that I’m currently into. However, I think it won’t hurt if I tried what most of my friends are doing. I have seen tons of forex companies and believe me, my head aches every time a new one evolves or is created. I have chanced upon many sites such as Alpari forex and I have to say, this looks promising and have the potential for me to really earn on this, though I have to be careful since I’m not used to this industry and will be a newbie if I join in. Additionally, I’m a bit hesitant since I’m not fully capable just yet after a few problems that we’re experiencing, maybe after this chapter, I might be able to start anew and be part of this. I’m crossing my fingers for more blessings.

It won’t hurt to try besides this way, new avenues will be traversed and experienced. I think it’s worth a try

First on our long list of Paid to Blog sites is InPostLinks. Signing up is FREE but the admin needs to approve a blog before you will be given access to the list of opportunities. The area where you’ll find different advertisers is called the “Marketplace”. Once a blog has been added to your account and approved, you can get 4 opps a day for a single blog. You can add several blogs, provided it adheres to the terms and conditions of the site.

Now, the trick is to post as soon as you get an opp. Why? Because you are only given a few hours to do the post and submit. Otherwise, you’ll lose the chance and may not be able to get that same particular opportunity because there are 300k other bloggers waiting for an open spot.

As you can see, some are priced as low as $.50. Actually, the opportunities you’ll get will depend on your blog’s niche, PageRank and Alexa Ranks . InPostLinks decide whether your blog is acceptable or qualified. There’s a tab wherein you’ll see only those opps in which your blog qualifies. The rest will be in “red”, meaning, any of your blogs didn’t reach the minimum qualifications.

Once you have reserved an opp, that’s the only time you’ll see the advertiser’s url. Make an article related to the link in free form and not a review. A post should be at least 200 words and includes the given keyword/s and the url. Submit and IPL will automatically approved that once it has finished scanning the post for the required advertiser’s request. Then you wait 30 days for the payment. All is done via Paypal.

I know that there might be some of you who would sneer at the thought of getting an opp for less than $5. For me, this might be lower than what I usually get, but then, it’s still money and occasional filler posts for my blogs. Besides, you have a chance to get 4 advertisers for each blog. Imagine you have 5 blogs approved, you get some for $2 each, then that would be much higher than what you usually get for a single paid post that’s hard to come by.

I know of some people who doesn’t get opps like these. So what? It’s my blog anyway, I can do whatever I please. Heck, I know there are times you are tempted or even gave in because you need money. ;P

Overall, InPostLinks isn’t that bad. Yep, it’s still money and it’s really hard to get a decent amount by the end of the month. But, hey! This at least will add up if you get a few opps a day, before you know it, you already accumulated a lot when it’s cut-off time. Extra money to pay for the bills!

Below are some good points to ponder: (I don’t know of any negative effects on your blog )

• You get paid for whatever you want to write on your blog. Note that Adgitize will only pay for one article a day. So, regardless of how many you write in a day, only 1 will count as your article points.

• You earn for your blog’s page views

It was in May of 2008 that I created my very first blog. It wasn’t really all blogging because it was full of affiliate banner ads, hoping I could get some referrals for my Paid to Click sites. I posted some articles related to money making opportunities and for some time they were a hit! Until Google flagged it for being “spammy”.

I learned my lessons the hard way. All my efforts went kaput and I was left with nothing. So, what I did was just click and get paid but for a few meager cents. Not knowing that I could have monetized that blog properly and could have earned more from it. The lesson was – don’t pollute your blogs with all those glittery and flashy images of your advertisers. Learn to say “NO” when you think they are not relevant to your niche. It’s not all money, you need credibility to prosper in the Blogosphere.

With that said, below are some tips on how to monetize your blog. Note, that the samples below are written for the newbies so that they can digest the knowledge easily and won’t be disappointed with all the internet terms that could surely crack their minds.

PAID POSTING – To date, this is my number one source of income for all my blogs. What you do here is accept tasks from certain legit paid to post sites. In some, you need to bid and win to be able to get that particular task. Others, you just have to choose which ones you can do and there are a few sites that designate tasks in your dashboard, which means you need not search and bid.

The pay varies, ranging from $.50 to $50. Well, I can say $50 coz I recently got one and was paid. I’ve known some other blogger friends who received bigger amounts than that and for just one single post! So, get your hopes high!

Once you have accepted a task or won a bid, all you need to do is write an article, may it be informational, review or free form. The advertiser’s link/s must be within the post or whatever the instructions are, it must be followed. Otherwise, your post might be rejected and all your efforts  in vain.

TEXT LINK ADVERTISING – This is another form of advertisement where you are given either a few words with the “anchor text” hyperlinked with the advertiser’s site. For example the word or phrase is “Earn Dollars Pinoy“. Hover on the quoted word and you will see at the bottom of your computer that there is a hidden link to the advertiser’s blog or site.

This kind of blog advertising vary on your blogs statistics. Those who wishes to promote their site or brand will check your Page Rank ( your rank with Google), traffic (daily,weekly,monthly visitors) and readership ( feed stats) just to name a few. The rates depend heavily on these, though I have a few adverts that doesn’t value PageRanks that much.

BANNER ADVERTISING – this is where you get picky even if your blog has nothing to brag about yet. As I have mentioned in the first few paragraphs above, you can’t just accept banner ads if it isn’t related to your niche or blog topics. Though I know of some bloggers who doesn’t care and post it anyway. Perhaps it comes with one’s discretion and if you are not blinded by the amount they are offering. In my case, I haven’t turned down any banner ads yet from third-party sources because they don’t seem spammy or from bad sites plus they are somewhat related to my blog contents.

This isn’t like the Text Link Ads because you will be given a link and an image. The size depends on what’s left on your blog’s space or if you have a sidebar space dedicated for such purpose. How much you will ask for a banner ad also depends on the blog stats, size and don’t forget to ask how long do they intend to advertise.

ADVERTISING NETWORK – These are online companies which connects bloggers with advertisers. Unlike in Paid Posting which actually functions the same get advertisers = bloggers kinda thingy, or the Text Link Ads which comes from direct advertisers, this is a bit different. You join the network and sell your ad spaces which in turn can be filled up by aggregated advertisers’ websites thru “blind networking”. An advert who is a member of the network can also choose which blogs he wants his ads to run.

Another type of Ad Network is by using 125×125 banners and not just one advertiser but maximum of 10 ads. These are also linked to the advertisers websites and when clicked, you earn either by points or cash.

These are just a few examples of the ways you can monetize your blogs. There’s a part 2 on this topic and one more that will give you samples sites which you can use in monetizing. If you have a computer at home with a fast internet connection, I’d say, go look for something to do online.. Not games, not Facebook but something which can help you earn another source of income. Why waste your time “Facebooking” when you can spend your time “Googling” the keyword – Work at Home Jobs for Filipinos.

There are tons of online opportunities for us Pinoys though one has to be careful not to fall prey in some scammy activities. Yes, 9 out of 10 Filipinos get scammed one time or another. Some lose big time and some for just a few dollars. Scam isn’t just an offline thing or something that happens only in the real world. Since the birth of the internet, these kind of people have evolved too. Well, online they can do a lot of damage more so if a person is hungry for money or seeking for a get rich quick type of job.

You can’t find work online if you don’t look for it. Searching is just the initial step and it will open up a lot of results where you need to sift through the “real work” and the “scam ones”. All you need is Google and the keyword that you think might be able to help you in searching the “legit” opportunities.

To assist you somehow to get a head start, below are some of the sites I usually find work. Note that these sites are sort of the “middle man” in helping you find a job. Though they have initially screened the employers, there are times that one or two turn out to be scams in the long run. You have to use your gut feel and exit as soon as you find out. There will be pending or unpaid tasks but at least you didn’t shell out your own money, just lost time and effort. It’s your call if you want to take the risk so long as you know exactly what you’re getting into.

FREE and NOT SO FREE Work at Home Job Sites

OnlineJobs.ph – this is a popular site for Filipinos and owned by John Jonas. Only Filipinos can get jobs here, simply because this was primarily created to help us Pinoys be able to work from home.

There are tons of work which you can choose from depending on your skills or expertise. Sample choices would be article writing, blog content management, web design, programming, SEO, online customer support and a lot more. You need to register to become a member so you can apply for jobs. A resume is needed coz that’s how the employers will review your skills and if you fit the job. I know that most jobs are international so you’d be earning dollars, be it in USD, AUD and the likes. Browse the site so you can have a feel of what I’m saying here, then register if you think you have what it takes.

Odesk – this is another site which has been proven to be legit by many Filipinos already.

You also have to register and upload or write your resume, fill up the needed information. Best if you take the free online skill tests coz if you pass, you can include them in your profile. Employers need to know more than your name so they can check you out further, so impress them. But MORE doesn’t mean you have to give your true identities Jobs here can be part time or full time, just like in OnlineJobs.ph. One thing I dont like with Odesk is the fact that you have to bid for work. There’s a certain budget amount for every employer and whoever bids the lowest and if qualified will get the job. But I know of some friends who got jobs here though they weren’t the lowest bidder. Maybe the one who got the “ultimate cheap” bid was not qualified.

Freelancer.com – same thing with the 2 sources, you have to register. Bidding is also the name of the game here and a percentage commission is deducted once a worker has made money.

Types of work can be graphic designing, website creation, telemarketing, market research just to name a few.

Elance.com – is also a free to register site but if you want a paid membership, they offer it too. When you work for Elance, once a contractor gets hired and paid, they have a service fee from work done.

You don’t have to be a professional or a highly skilled person to get a job online. But you do need to be smart and cautious so you won’t get scammed.

Disclaimer: The sites mentioned above are legit but they can’t help it if an employer eventually runs away with your work and money. It all boils down to you, the contractor or service provider, to be always on guard when things start to smell fishy.. Good luck in your job hunting!

How? Well, there are tons of online opportunities for you, Pinoy. Even if you didn’t graduate in high school or is tired of commuting, there are jobs online that can help you earn extra dollars monthly. Yep, you heard it right, the currency is $$ or even get paid in pounds or Australian $$! It differs on where your client is based, but they can also convert it to US Dollars depending on your agreement.

Here are some ways to earn online, provided you know what you’re getting into,lol.

• PAID TO CLICK – this is a paid to click action. You click the advertiser’s advertisement and you get paid directly to your account. This isn’t a get rich quick job. In fact, I don’t think there is an online job which would truly pay you hundreds or even thousands of dollars overnight (unless you’re one of the probloggers or super affiliate marketers). You have to work for it. Click everyday and refer your families and friends. The best sample of this site is Neobux.
• AFFILIATE MARKETING – here you get connected with sites like PayDotCom, ClickBank or Market Health and sell digital products in which you get commissions for a confirmed sale. There are other sites that offers a cut on every product that you helped in selling but it’s risky.
• BLOGGING – this is a great way to earn online. You get to monitize your blogs by placing text links or banner ads from Google Adsense, direct advertisers, paid posting or even your own affiliate products. There are terms of services and policies that you have to abide in order not to get flagged.
• FREELANCE WRITING – this is a kind of online job where you get to write articles for certain clients. If you possess that writing prowess, then you must try your “fortune” in being a freelancer. Visit Odesk, Elance or this site’s Job Board for possible online work.

The above are just examples of opportunities you can do online while at home. But first, you need to check yourself if you can do this and if you possess a lot of patience. This can’t be all done with just a snap of a finger. You have to work for it. As I mentioned earlier, the samples I gave isn’t a get rich quick scheme. If you don’t work for it, then obviously you won’t get paid.

I guess what’s great about this is you can work at home, tend to your family and relieve yourself of stress from traveling to and from work, the 9 to 5 office work and the traffic. I’m not saying that working online isn’t stressful, yes it is and I hate to break your bubble. But at least the only stress you’ll be getting is from your work – if you’ll consider it as one form of stress,lol. I can’t begin to imagine (again) how my life would be if I’m still working in an office. Perhaps my hair is all grey now at my young age (lol) and my skin is not as soft as it felt more than 20 years ago (lol).

Anyway, in any kind of work, stress is always present. It’s how you deal with it that truly matters. Goodluck in your job hunting!

Okay, since the title of this post is what it say it is, then let’s get on with what I really wanna say here.

Previously in my welcoming post here, I mentioned something about having a category solely dedicated to a JOB BOARD. A job board is basically where you can find a job most suited to your expertise. Now, don’t get excited yet because these are just links to jobs that I find online. What you should do is check out the source. This is just the initial stage of my plan. When things are doing great and I have the tools to start my business, then I’m off to a much bigger and greener pasture. Of course, that business will only cater to Pinoys qualified to be under my wings.

Whew! Blood is rushing and my heart is pumping hard! That’s my excitement which I can’t contain! Spilling too much beans here but I want you to get excited too, Pinoy, because this is for you!

For the meantime, keep coming back and please help me in praying that my plans will materialize. I don’t want to keep making plans and promises that in the end will not push through because of reasons that can be resolved. So, I’m keeping my hopes high and fingers crossed, that in the near future, all things will be in it’s proper places.. and successful…

I’ve downloaded a lot of themes yesterday and tried them all but this one fits right. With my plans in mind, I need a theme that would cover most of the spaces but can’t find any yet. So, I’ll just have to be contented with this one. But, in case you drop by next time and the theme has changed,again, don’t worry, it’s just me trying out what’s best for this blog..

As I have said in my very first post, I have so many plans for this blog. In wanting to help my fellow Filipino bloggers especially those work at home moms, I’m exerting all efforts to find online opportunities that could help us all. So again, please stay tuned for that.
